InterCall Launched in Malaysia

CHICAGO, December 4, 2009 –  InterCall, the world's largest conferencing and collaboration services provider, unveiled its Malaysia Market launch tonight at its Kuala Lumpur Launch Event held at Aquaria KLCC. This event signaled the organisation's official foray into the Malaysia market under the InterCall brand name, which also included the introduction of an expanded InterCall services and solutions offering for the local market. Previously, InterCall's operations in Malaysia were centered on its Genesys Conferencing subsidiary, which the organisation acquired in May 2008.

“This represents an even greater solution sales model for our business,” said Hain MacKay-Cruise, Managing Director InterCall Asia Pacific. “InterCall sees this as a strategic advantage in our ever expanding presence in the Asia Pacific Region, and with Malaysia's rapidly developing market and improving infrastructure this is crucial to our long term plans for the region.” Mr. MacKay-Cruise continued, “For our customers and our potential customers, it equates to an even greater range of services and solutions for them to choose from to meet their specific requirements. We are able to help deliver greater financial savings within the Collaborative Services and Unified Communications space, as well as greater global reach with local expertise, an expanded knowledge base and expertise through the provisioning of services and solutions for Fortune 500 companies, and ultimately the combined resources of both InterCall and Genesys to ensure that all customer meetings are a success”.

Jamie J. Dickson, Director of Sales (Hong Kong & South East Asia) adds, “The Malaysia Market poses as an attractive opportunity for InterCall as a greater number of Fortune 500 Companies are expanding their operations into this market. This coupled with the improvements to Malaysia's IT and Communications infrastructure, and in light of the current global economic environment, which is forcing many organisations to minimise their costs and travel costs in particular, we are confident that this is the right move for our organisation's continued success into the future.”

Along with the existing Genesys Conferencing offerings, the launch has unveiled a full range of other InterCall conferencing and collaboration tools, services and solutions for the Malaysia Market. These include offerings from the basic reservationless audio conferencing services to the more advanced video conferencing, streaming services and InterCall Event Services.
